This turnbolt 6-shot repeating action, featuring dual locking lugs on the front of the bolt, is a copy of the Mauser Model 89, but it employs a single-column magazine of Mannlicher design

Part of this is due to rumors about the Carcano's poor accuracy or the poor quality of the steel used, and part due to the relative lack of interest in Italian military history

M1891 Carcano: Bayonet for the US M1 Garand rifle, made in Italy

Original steel bayonet used on the Carcano M1891 and the WWII era M1938 carbines

Straight grip stock with matching serial number on the left side of the butt, and blue steel buttplate

This bayonet appears to be all original and has not been resharpened or messed with in any way

After some research we are fairly certain this is for  This is the locking pin set for the m38 cavalry carbine Carcano rifle, also will fit the older m91 cavalry carbine, folding bayonet style

The part is in excellent condition and comes with original screw

Carcano carbine stocking info? I have two Carcanos I picked up cheap and have yet to fire

An original configuration WW1 1891 mannlicher carcano 1891TS carbine, this variant was issued to specialized troops & has an odd bayonet system, rather than the bayonet mounting along the axis of the barrel (parallel) it mounts from the side!, horizontally, the slot on the bayonet runs from side to side in the hilt, you fit the muzzle ring first with the bayonet to the side of the barrel then I know a reputable dealer in the States selling the 1891 Carcano TS with the sideways bayonet lug at the moment for 350$ (reason I know is because I have debated on importing it to Canada but the cost is pretty prohibitive)

I randomly had this in a box of parts and it took a while to figure out exactly what it was
